DIY Gnome Tutorial

Gnomes or Tomte or Nisse.....Oh My!
Whatever name you give them, you have to admit they are awfully cute!
Learn how to make these traditional holiday decorations with easy to find items.
A small birch log, some "fur", an old sweater, a little bead and a styrofoam ball are all the supplies you need.
When you cut the triangles for the hat, be sure to use an area of the sweater that has ribbing.
The fur is a piece of lambswool, but you could also use fiber fill.
If you don't have a birch log, a paper towel tube cut to size works well. Just use more of the old sweater pieces and tuck them in the top and bottom of the tube.
These are going on my tree this year along with some great big red ribbon.
