I love Christmas. Every year, I buy and/or make new ornements for my tree. This year, I wanted to have a new tree, but when I looked at their price, I quickly changed my mind!! Instead, I bought a snow spray ($5) and gave it a new life!
I don't know what got into me, but I wanted black ornements. It seems like I am the only one on earth who does, because I found almost nothing with this color!
Don't find them ? Make them!! :)
I bought crystal clear ornements and filled them with Guinea Fowl feathers and some black, gold and silver glitters.
And now... My favorite piece... A luxurious feathered skirt!
I cut a circle in a drop-cloth. Folding fabric on the biais really helps to get a nice round circle.
I started to glue feathers on the skirt, one layer at the time, starting from bottom to top.
Once I was done with the black feathers, a glued some Guinea fowl feathers on a ribbon. I then glued black tulle on top of it and used it as a finishing braid.
The skirt is so beautiful! It is heavy and it really looks like wings!
