Dress up your front door or front porch with a simple DIY wood house number sign. This sign is made without fancy power tools and you can use these steps to customize the look of your own sign. Add color and embellishments to really dress up your front porch. You can see my front porch right here. Here is what you need to get started:
Supplies
  • 1x8 pine board, cut to 14 inches
  • Wood numbers
  • White, Silver and Black Paint
  • Wood Glue
  • Clear sealer
  • Paint Brushes
  • Painter's Tape

Paint the pine board white and let dry, then use painters tape to section off the border then paint a few coats of black. Let this dry fully while you move on to the next step
Use silver paint to coat the letters and let them dry. Once all your paint has dried, use wood glue to attach the numbers.
Finally, add a coat of clear water based sealer to protect your sign.

A pretty wood sign, that is easy and quick to make, can boost your curb appeal. I used black and white to blend with my decor but the color options are endless!
