Egg Shells Transformed Into Easter Table Decoration

I'm not a florist, even arranging a bunch of flowers in a vase is a little tricky! So when it comes to table decoration it needs to be simple, easy and effective! We always have eggs in our home with lots of baking. This table decoration uses empty egg shells, sprayed with metallic spray paint as a plant container.
The cress takes approximately seven days to grow, you have time to do this for Easter.
The project takes little time, less than half an hour - other than waiting for the cress to grow.
I started with spraying the egg shells outside (not on a windy day, I lost a few shells!!). The spray paint costs £10. Once dry I filled with soil and added cress seeds. These seeds cost £1.29 but they can be found cheaper.
I hunted through our wood pile finding a log approx 12" long. Drill holes into the log, using a large drill piece (this one is numbered 32).
Add your egg shells to your log - all done. Super quick, easy and ever so stylish. I love the modern look.
You can completely change the look by decorating the shells with sharpie pens - simple geometric patterns could look awesome. Or dying the eggs with onion skins? You could let children loose with paint on the shells (perhaps when the eggs are hard boiled, once decorated cracking and emptying!). Happy Easter
