DIY Red & White 'Snowflake' Pillow

I always like to switch out our throw cushions seasonally - and the holidays are no different!
For this simple project, I used a red pillow cover, a large needle and some white yarn to create what I'm calling a 'snowflake' effect.
Using a simple stitch (repeated over and over again!) that is tied off each time, the pillow goes from plain and boring to fun and holiday-esque :)
This is the perfect project for a young sewer to practice on and the results are adorable. For the other pillow, I simply glued some pom pom trim on a white canvas envelope bolster pillow (even more simple!)
