I love to decorate pumpkins during the fall. This year I felt like doing something a little different and go do with the traditional colors or feel of autumn or Halloween, I went with glam and princess!!
Start with some Dollar Tree or other cheap foam pumpkins.
Paint the pumpkins in a white or ivory paint, a good acrylic paint is best!
I decorated did 2 pumpkins in lots of bling and gems. I sued gems alread in a swirl, but also added in some lose gems and pearls to give it that extra pop!
The third pumpkin I added in pink jute along the creases. Add soem glue inside the crease to hold the jute in place. I like the light pink color, but a good natural color jute woul be amazing as well.
I made a bunch of little flowers and leaves out of felt with my die cut machine. Felt cuts amazing with a dies!! Pick out soft colors for your flowers like pink, mint, yellow, and teal. They are wonderful against the ivory pumpkin, and then the olive green of the leaves is just the right touch of a neutral color to bring it all together.
Glue the flower and leaves to the tops of the pumpkins, and add in a little bow if you like. I love the look fo the jute against the felt, it adds a little soft with rustic, which makes for some amazing texture!
These cute little princess pumpkins are perfect for Halloween decor or for a princess party centerpiece.
They are fun individually or in a set of three!!
Here is a step by step video on how to make these glam princess pumpkins!!
Grab those pumpkins while they are cheap and think ahead for those parties or for a something a little different for your Halloween parties. Why not dress up your pumpkins for Halloween too?
