Hey everyone! Here is a craft idea to make with your kids this Halloween : a pumpkin lantern. It's easy, fun, and you're using things that you already have in the house.

Homemade Clay Recipe:
-1 cup of flour
-1/2 cup of salt
-1 tsp of olive oil
-aprox. 1 cup of water added gradually. You may need more or less depending on the flour. Just add bit by bit until you form an elastic, non-stick dough.

!! You can also use store bought air drying clay.
Cut the bottom of a 2l plastic bottle. ( I used 7 Up) . I also used some tape for guidence.
First I covered the bottom with a long piece of clay. Then I rolled the remaining clay into a large circle (just like when you make pizza) , and I added it on top of the plastic bottle bottom. Use a Popsicle Stick to smooth out everything.

!! Save an extra piece (the size of a walnut) for the pumpkin stem.
After attaching the stem and carving the mouth and eyes, leave it to dry for 24 hours.
Paint time! Yaay! I used acrylic paint, and some drops ended on the mouth and eyes. I used some nail polish remover and a Q-tip to remove all the stains.

Leave it to dry completely and you are done! Add a led tea light or Christmas lights underneath.
Muhahaha!
To see in detail all the steps please watch the video. Thank you!
