Beautiful old books can add to the design in your vignettes. Here are a few samples.
This beautiful book on poetry adds it grace to my bookcase as well as the vignettes that are in it.
Here is a set of books that are fun. I took the covers off of old books that only cost me a dollar at the thrift store, painted the outside of the binding's, added a little lace to the top and tied them together with a silk bow. They can be done in any color as well as no color at all.
Here is a picture of 3 books that I just took the covers off and left them be except for adding a pink grosgrain bow. I liked the title page so I left it on top.
I like to collect books that have golden edges on them, here they are making my vignette more pleasing to the eye my allowing me to stack items on them. The glow from the candle light sparkles a little interest here.
