DIY Chalkboard Coasters

Easy
These hot summer days are perfect for ice cold beverages and what better way to protect your table tops than with these adorable chalkboard coasters?!
I am a huge fan of the chalkboard movement that is happening right now. Everything is just more fun when use can use chalk (or I use a chalkboard pen) to right a little note, make a doodle or add labels! Versatility is what makes these coasters so fun to use! Here's a list of what you will need:

– 6 Round pieces of wood (got mine at Joann for about $.50 each)

– 1 Can Chalk Board Spray Paint

– 6 Different Colors of Acrylic Paint

– Small Foam Brush

– Sheet of felt (8.5×11)

– Chalk Board Marker

– Sand Paper

– Glue
I wanted to add a touch of color to these little beauties, so I painted the edges with some bright acrylic paints. I love the way they turned out! And whats more, I'm more likely to use them just because they are visually appealing, and my furniture thanks me.
These little coasters are so easy to make. I have a short supply list and everything I used can be found at most craft stores. They are perfect for adding a little personal touch to any event or get together that you may be having.
