DIY Holiday Gift - Old Glass Cups Become Painted Candles

I love any type of upcycled project, but I especially love ones that I can share and give to others. I used some old glass cups I found at thrift stores and estate sales to create painted Christmas candles.
I started with the cups, which I think were from glass punch bowl sets, and a set of stickers.
After sticking the sticker frames in place, I painted the letters with glass enamel paint.
The stickers give pretty clean lines, but there's a trick to fixing any bleed-through that does sneak under the edges.
I used soy flakes to make the candles, but beeswax or paraffin wax can also be used.
I'm excited to give some of these candles as little gifts this year!
I think these will make great gifts for my child's preschool teachers. For more information on my tricks for painting with glass paint and making the candles, please come visit my blog.
