Draw Your Own Grinch Face Mug

5 Minutes
Dr. Seuss Day is coming soon. I grew up reading his books and have watched countless other children learn to read with them as well. Everyone has a favorite Dr. Seuss character...The Grinch is one of mine.
This project started with a cute green mug from the thrift store. It would make a great kid's project.
Gather your materials. Be sure to wash and dry your mug thoroughly and touch only the handle so you do not deposit oils from your hands on the mug.
I am going to give you condensed steps for drawing the Grinch face here. If you want it broken down further, please click on our blog post at the end.
Is mine perfect? No way! But you CAN tell it is the Grinch so I call it a success. I added gold to his eyes for an evil look but you could leave them black or even color them red. I hand wash mine, but you can look online to find directions for baking it in the oven to make it more permanent. This would be a very fun and easy project to do with children. You can always practice drawing his face on paper first to get the proportions right.
