I found some letters moulds on Amazon and thought they would make some really cool gifts for people. I could make words out of them, names, the possibilities are endless. Here I show you what I made for myself.

Before

Just a simple empty s mould That you could create many designs out of. I wanted to make a s for my name to have on a shelf in my kitchen. This is the design I came up with that you could make yourself.

Firstly, this is the resin I use. It’s called “Craft Resin” it’s the best one I find and I use it in my products. You can buy it from Amazon.

I measured out 40ml of resin and hardener. Because my resin is a 1:1 ratio i mixed up 20ml of each. Be sure to mix resin slowly to avoid creating any unwanted bubbles. Use a heat gun to pop any bubbles if you create any.

I decided to colour using a metallic pigment which is a pink shade. I also thought I could do two layers so I decided to use some silver foil as well.

I got a small cup and mixed 25% of resin with a bit of pigment. I’m going to use this as my first layer.

Next I poured my pink resin mixture in my mould and let it sit for 15 minutes so my resin would be at a good point to where it’s starting to harden enough to pour my next layer in.

Lastly I mixed some silver foil in the rest of my left over resin.

I poured this in on top of the pink and let this harden for 24 hours till it was ready to demould.

After 24 hours I demoulded my resin and I’m so pleased with the final result. I think it came out really well. If you don’t want to make these your self I make them in any colours and sell them in my Etsy store for just £4.50 per letter.
