Handcrafted Air Dry Clay Leaf Bowls...

Air dry clay is a fantastic medium to craft with.
Leaf shaped bowls are a favourite of mine, so let me show you how easy it is to make them. These are perfect for the home decor or to gift.
You will need:

Air dry clay. (I used Das brand in white.)

A rolling pin

Newspaper to protect your work surface

Bowls in different sizes.

Scissors and a small paring knife.

And some leaves .
Roll the clay out to a 5 to 10mm thickness. I made mine 5mm as I wanted that thin fragility. Place leaf on top, press. Cut out shape using the small paring knife.

Smooth the edges if you want perfect, or leave raw if you like that effect.
Place in a bowl. Coil the stem and bend leaf into desired shape.
This leaf is made the same way, but put into a smaller bowl.
Leave to dry. Remove from bowls.
Spray paint in desired colours.
The gold leaf is perfect for my Mantel. And the small green bowl is a great ring holder,
