Book Stack decor is all the rage right now, but they can be expensive, am I right? I created my very own version with Dollar Store hardcover books, some of my favorite DecoArt acrylic paint, and alphabet stamps from my stash. The perfect farmhouse-style home décor with a sweet message. How to DIY Book Stack with Dollar Tree Supplies is quick and easy. You just need to be patient enough for the paint to dry!

Here’s what you need to make a Dollar Tree Book Stack:

Here’s how to create Stamped Home Decor:

STEP ONE

To begin the How to DIY Book Stack with Dollar Tree Supplies, gather all supplies. I selected three books that were similar in size and all had dark covers. Remove the paper dust covers.

Basecoat the canvas covers of the books with a mixture of white and ivory craft paint. Don’t over mix the colors and let the base coat be rough.

I like that the dark base is visible through the paint. Set aside to dry.

STEP TWO

Dry brush light grey paint around the sides and edges of the books, in places that wear, would naturally occur. Set aside to dry.

STEP THREE

Using both the upper- and lower-case alphabet stamps, select the message HOME SWEET HOME. Place the spine of the books up, tap each letter stamp in the ink pad, and stamp on the spine.

The irregularity of the stamped letters gives the project farmhouse charm.

CHANGE IT UP: If you don’t have alphabet stamps use letter stickers or even hand-letter your message of choice.

STEP FOUR

Stack the books together and wrap with twine 10 to 12 times, securing the end with a knot and leaving the tails long.

To create a bow, wrap the twine around your hand 10 to 12 times, trim the end with scissors, and place it in the center of the book stack.

Secure in place by knotting the tails around the bow.

STEP FIVE

To finish the How to DIY Book Stack with Dollar Tree Supplies, snip off a section of a small silk flower bunch with wire cutters and tuck into the bow.
