How to Make Gorgeous Felt Monogram Gift Tags / Toppers.

15 Minutes
Easy
Here I show how to make really simple but gorgeous monogram gift tags to make your presents extra special. They only take a few minutes to make to add that personal touch to your gifts.
These gift tags / present toppers are a gift in themselves. They can easily be used a as a key ring, bag charm or even hung as an ornament afterwards.
All you need is some craft wire, coloured felt balls and coloured twine.

I used felt balls that were 15-20mm in size click here to see the ones I used.
First decide what letter you are going to make and then cut a length of wire long enough to shape into that letter with a bit extra
Thread the coloured felt balls one at a time onto the wire. The felt may seem difficult to penetrate. However if you twist and wiggle the wire as you push it will go through the felt balls.
Depending on what letter you make will depend on the number of felt balls you use, for example I used 14 for a W, 10 for a C and 6 for an I.

When you have threaded enough balls onto the wire, loop over the ends and wedge the wire tip into the last ball.
Bend your letter into shape and attach twine in a matching colour.
To make my gift even more special I painted the wrapping paper with dots to match the monogram gift tag.
If you like these monogram gift tags you will probably like the upcycled denim ones I made last year click here to see them
