I've been wanting to make some candle holders from a copper pipe we had left over, but the thought of having to weld the pipes put me off. Welding is not something we do very well, it always ends up looking like bird poop.
Fortunately we have a really friendly hardware store just down the road from us, so off to local hardware I went. All I needed to do was look dazed and confused in the plumbing aisle and voila, one of their super helpful staff members came to my rescue. After explaining what I wanted to do he grabbed a few things off the shelf, told me in simple layman's terms how to use them and I was finally ready to go make those candle holders.
The only flange brackets we could find were silver and that was soooo not the look I was going for. I had some AMERICAN ACCENTS® Designer Metallic Spray left over from another project we did, so I changed those silver flanges into aged brass flanges.
Then all we needed to do was cut and assemble the bits.
Add a gorgeous clay tile and we were done.
Step by step instructions and how to on the blog. Come say Hi, we'de love to hear from you.

Susan Bechamp on Jan 29, 2017I love the clay tiles you used. This would also make a fantastic vertical door pull on an oversized door.
