Can you build a box out of reclaimed wood around it? Or were you hoping to paint it? If you are looking to paint it, you will want to use a mix of grey, brown and black to get an aged wood look. There are also great tools out that now that you can "draw" or stamp a wood grain pattern into the paint. Have fun!!
You can buy Contact paper/removable wall paper in a wood grain pattern. Apply to the freezer.
You should be able to box it in similar to this project.

You could build a box around three sides of it or contact paper is a great idea. Be careful not to cover over the vent.
I would think contact paper and then add some leather straps so that it looks like a trunk.
Or just buy a woodgrain roller and use appliance paint.
The contact paper is the best idea (as suggested by a couple of others). You can purchase this at many places, even the DollarTree.
Contact paper would work well for this kind of project.
There are tools that you use with Minwax or Benjamin Moore stain to make it look like wood grain. Check it out at Lowes or Home Depot. It is tedious but if you want wood grain that is the way I would go.
Apply two coats of satin-finish paint (here, Benjamin Moore's Brown Horse). Once it dries, mix equal parts clear acrylic glaze and white latex paint. Apply with a roller, glazing and faux-graining a portion at a time.
Wall paper can be used to add a chest freezer, and to make it resemble a real chest, add rope and a lock. Wall paper is available on Amazon.
Paint it and get the wood grain tool from the hardware store. Paint it with a mixture of gray's and brown and use the graining tool. You can emblellish with locks and straps. You could also use a wood grain contact paper.
Hi Eva, You can do two things, the easier one is to pick up some wood look peel and stick wallpaper and wrap the freezer. Or you can glue wood slats to the freezer.
You can buy Sticky backed Plastic that looks like wood. Cut it into strips and apply. Gaps in between could be made to look more realistic by using Sharpie Pens in darker colour to look like plank ends. Add a few Studs in there too.
