Is the wall in your dining room?
This is something we did in our living room that might give you some inspiration. We had leftover old windows from the house after the renovation so we combined a vinyl decal and mirror paint to create something unique and interesting. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/walls/windows-upcycling-to-make-farmhouse-artwork-44293959

Check out some wall decor ideas I did in my guest room makeover - they would match your distressed look too: https://happydealhappyday.com/7-ways-re-decorate-room-budget/
I would look for items at shops like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods their prices are very good and they have a lot of the latest styles
it all depends on the colors and theme you are going for
Maybe have someone paint a mural on the wall with the water and fish boats ,then you could hang a window maybe 2 windows side by side .maybe get some sea shell lamps, maybe a anchor some were.and follow that .
Check for pictures of the beach. Amazon has some nice ones and they randomly get discounted. Also check discount stores like Big Lots, Marshalls, HomeGoods, and TJMaxx as well as thrift stores. Add a shelf or set of shelves that are slightly distressed for a driftwood feel, also do that with the frames on the pictures. Then some beachy style decor items.
You all gave me some wonderful ideas, just have to figure it out.
I will try to put a picture of the blank wall on this site.
thank you...
A mirror or a gallery wall of your favorite artwork
You can try the search bar at the top left for interior design ideas, search by various styles to see what you like. You can search Pinterest, scroll through and see what tickles your fancy and work from there. Keep looking at all sorts of different things until you see stuff you can't live without.
Fix a Large Mirror at the end of your narrow wall at table height and push table end against it. That will double the lengh of the room. If you can make it wall to wall so much the better. or Make one feature wall of wallpaper pattern and the other walls plain emulsion paint Matt. Use small mirrors along long sides or Pictures that have glass (to reflect light)
