Repurposed Wood Ladder Into Plant Hanger/decor Piece
This is an off the wall type project; but it's fun and unique! I have had this wood ladder for a while now. Originally, I painted it and added wood planks as shelves, to create a ladder shelf of sorts. Over the years, the ladder has just been sitting in a corner; but an idea came to me! Why not create a fun piece of decor that's different and not your typical "shelf."
That's when I decided a hanging basket plant and some old suitcases could really help turn this old ladder into something fun!
I found this ladder on the side of the road a few years ago. I decided to paint it white; but you can always leave it in it's natural state as well.

I bought this faux hanging pothos recently, and knew it would be perfect for this little project. You can always use a real plant as well; but I sadly have a brown thumb.
I used some string I had on hand, looped a long enough piece through the twine on the basket, and threaded it through the top of the ladder slats. Honestly, I couldn't tell you the exact technique used; but you could easily find a way that works best for you.
I then knotted the string
Together at the top of the twine to hold it firmly on the ladder.

Find more ideas on how to hang a plant from the ceiling without holes.
You could always just leave a plant or two hanging from the ladder; but I decided to fill the empty space with some vintage suitcases I had on hand.
You could really use anything you prefer; or nothing at all!
I think it really adds a fun look to my room; and creates an unconvention use of a wooden ladder!

What an amazing idea! I have repurposed a ladder to hang blankets on before in my living room but never thought about it as a plant hanger! The vintage suitcases are a perfect addition to the look! This is such a cozy look for a living room space!
