Tiki Bar Cart Tea Towels With Cricut
Today I'm sharing cool Tiki Bar Cart Tea Towels perfect for any tiki themed parties, luaus, or cook-outs you may be attending this Spring or Summer. I used my Cricut cutting machine to make these, but any cutting machine would work. Let me show you how to make these fun tea towels !
Materials
- Cricut Explore Air™ 2 machine
- Cricut Pink tool set
- Cricut cutting mat
- Cricut Pink iron-on foil
- Linen fabric
- Felt
- Pink pom pom trim
Step 1: Determine the size of your tea towel. I just laid out an existing one over my material and then cut it to size using my scissors.
Step 2: Determine how big you want the image to be on your tea towel.
Step 3: I knew I wanted my little logo to hang on one side of the towel and be centered without overtaking the towel. Once I measured everything I used the trimmer that comes in the Cricut tool set to measure the length off the roll and cut a clean line.
In the Cricut design space, upload the image you want to use. I’ve written a handy-dandy tutorial on that // here //
Once the machine is done cutting, it’s now time to weed. Using your weeding tool, flip the vinyl on it’s back so that you’re weeding the non-colorful side since there’s a layer of protective film on the front (for the ironing later).
Finally, Follow the ironing instructions that came with the pack of iron-on vinyl you’re using. I purchased some pink pom pom trim and then sewed it along the bottom of my tea towel.
Now it's time to enjoy your DIY Tea Towels!
