When you go to the charity store, do you only look for the good stuff?

Well, next time maybe you should strap on some rose-coloured glasses, fasten your thinking cap and bring home something in need of some love. You never know what it might become!

I've summarised this project slightly for Home Talk. You can find the full how-to here on my blog.

Here's my 'lovely' starting point - a mish-mash of second-hand gems which cost a grand total of $7.

Bargain, right?

And here they are now, magically transported into the land of luxe by the wonder which is spray paint!

Yes, people. Truly ruly. This is the exact same thrifted mish-mash!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the power of paint is real.

I've used a stone-in-a-can finish on the board and a chalky finish on the other accessories with just the slightest hint of rose gold for some glamour.

So easy! I hope you guys like it and that it helps inspire.

You have a great eye for really turning trash into treasures!

This is very chic. Having the right paint makes a huge difference.
