If you have a plain Round board laying around your house, dont throw it away. I can show you how to spruce it up and bring it to life with a little creativity.

I'm starting off with this plain board, mine is from Target Dollar spot but I'm pretty sure you can find something similar at the thrift store.

Next, you will need to sand down the surface.

I will be using 80 grit sanding paper and go up and down keeping it in one motion.

Once I finish sanding it down, I used baby wipes to wipe down the surface to get ready to paint it.

For the paint I used a brown color called NUTMEG from the the brand apple barrel and white, mixing them together to mimic a natural wood color.

Then you will need a hair drying brush to help achieve the Natural wood effect.

For this part I went side to side almost drawing lines back and forth.

Alright, this tray will need some legs. So I will be using ornaments, these are the mini ones from Dollar Tree.

For the ornaments, I removed the top part of the ornament. Then proceeded to sand it down.

Once, I cut them and sanded them down.

I started to paint them. I did 2 coats for each ornament, using the color Nutmeg.

When it came down to painting them I used straws to help me poke it in the center to help prop them up and sticked them into a styrofoam to help them dry.

Once, I finished painting them, I hot glued them. Then added some more paint, I used white paint, using a dry brush to achieve a distress look and with the legs now finished, you now have yourself a decor tray to place on your coffee table.

Such a fun and easy DIY

Happy crafting.
