Taking any old antique window and turning it into a chalkboard. Let’s create a wall masterpiece together.

This is my finished Chalkboard Antique Window Frame. I chose to do a verse with White chalk.

First, you will need to get an antique window.

I used painters tape to protect where I did not want the chalkboard paint to adhere. Pictured is the spray paint I found at Walmart. Make sure you are doing this project outdoors.

You will want your frame facing you on the ground. Then you tape your frame that is facing you with your painters tape. This is to ensure that the spray will not touch the frame. Now you are ready to spray your glass. Hold your can at least 10 inches away from the glass and spray. Do you want to lightly coat the glass. Let it dry for about 10 minutes and then repeat. You will do this until you are happy with the coverage from your side. I used one whole can of chalkboard spray paint on this frame. My frames are about 30 x 30 to give you an idea for size to coverage.

Let dry for about an hour.

Now you are ready to grab your chalk and design it to your liking.

You can use regular chalk or even the wet chalk that stays on longer.

Hint: I used my Cricut machine to cut me a stencil for the words. My handwriting is not the best so it made it easier.

Happy Creating!
