Easy Spring Mantel Sign

Spring is almost officially here. Now is the perfect time to decorate for the season! I love using moss to add a little touch of spring to my home décor. Even though it's very messy it's also very lively...and well just pretty!
First, I spray painted the picture frame gold.
I was able to use the cardboard insert found inside the frame for my base. If you do not have a cardboard base cut one that will fit inside your frame. Then hot glue the moss onto the base. I also used two sections of moss to cover the base, then made sure to blend the moss together so you could not see where the two sections came together.
You can use pretty spring-themed fabric or scrapbook paper to cover each of the “spring” letters. I used fabric for mine. Trace each letter face down and then cut them out.
Add a thin layer of Mod Podge to the letter and place the fabric on top of it. Next, apply another thin layer of Mod Podge on top, and the edges to seal. Let dry for about 20-30 minutes.
Once the letters are dry space them out evenly on the moss and use hot glue to secure them. Then place your moss base back into the picture frame.
Very easy and springy craft, don't you think?
