Signs are everywhere!!!! Did you know how easy it is to make your own???

I recently hosted a Hometalk Live showing how I make quick and easy farmhouse signs!! One viewer said she sees signs like this sell for $50!
So let's get ready to save some money and make your own! Plus you are in control and can put whatever words you want on yours!!

Grab some cheap pine wood in the size you want for you sign. Or any wood for that matter.
Next up we grab some stain! Here's my fav!
Now rub it all over to get a dark wood look!
After standing the entire piece and letting dry. Grab a shabby chip brush and swipe on some Junk Monkey Paint! - Best thing, it's a no sanding, no stripping, no priming kind of paint!
I lightly paint it on all over the black. This is called dry brushing.
Now we can have fun with stencils. I love to purchase the cardboard letters for this kind of project. Just lay them out, edge to edge and stick down with some painter's tape.
Now fill in those letters with some black (to tie back into the background) and you've got a classic farmhouse sign!

And you can find so many styles of stencils to play with!
You can seal your piece with a wax or poly! Whichever you have or prefer!
Which one is your fav?
What saying would you write?
The possibilities are endless!
