Repurposing Old Artwork

We're in the process of getting our house ready to sell and I just updated the decor in our Guest Bedroom with new furniture, bedding, pillows and curtains. The old artwork just didn't fit the new colors. Instead of going out and spending money to get new artwork, I decided to repurpose it and creating a new painting.
I mixed up ordinary craft paint to fit the colors I wanted.
This is the artwork we had in the guest room, which was dated and in need of an update.
I painted over the old artwork with white semi-gloss paint. Simple enough!
Here's how the final product turned out. I'm no Picasso, but it works and I won't feel bad if it doesn't fit with our decor when we move. Stop by diy Design Fanatic to see the simple steps in between.
