In the kitchen IF you never spill anything.
Well I have Laminate wood, but I understand Bamboo is stronger and not does not let water through, if you find you are heavy on your kitchen floors
I would go for Solid wood or Pref. Ceramic or Quarry Tile.
It should work great! Our neighbors have had it in their kitchen and adjacent dining/family room for over 20 years and it still looks great. Water shouldn't be a problem should you happen to have an occasional spill. Go for it!
Got a friend who did bamboo in her kitchen and loves it

Even if you are careful and don't have any big spills it's still an area that's wetter than the rest of your house. I've seen floor boards buckling by the door of a dishwasher more times than I can count.
We have it throughout and absolutely live it. Make sure it's 'strand woven.'
Bambi is a soft wood love it in my kitchen. Draw back is scratches easy and dents easy.
We put in our kitchen a few years ago and they still look great and have not any problems with them.
