How to restore worn laminate flooring?
My wood laminate flooring is a year old and my home office chair has worn a path on the floor where it has rolled around. Is there any way I can restore the flooring?

Hello,
You best bet is to but a mat over it. You can not restore a laminate floor very well. You could try using a poly urethane varnish if just the surface has been worn away, but if the timber colour has been damaged it will be more difficult. As you are aware there are many colours and finishes, and I have no idea which you have.
Hi Cindy,
It is possible to restore your floor and here is a link on how to do that. If you choose to restore the worn area rather than replace it, a suggestion would be to get a sheet of office plastic to keep under the wheels of your chair. Best to you:

Hello. It’s hard to know without knowing which brand or quality floor you have it might be best to call your manufacturer for suggestions.
A photograph to see the extent of the damage might be helpful in the situations like this. Sometimes those magic markers with stain can be helpful in some situations.
In addition if you put the frosted chair mat over it you might be able to hide the imperfections and achieve a solution from preventing further damage.

You could try rejuvenate product but you might just add a chair pad in the area under the chair.
Since your floor is not that old, perhaps you have or can get some pieces of flooring and have it patched. Then use a clear plastic mat in the future to keep the rollers from damaging the laminate. Good luck!
search it up
Laminate cannot really be fixed as it is a picture of wood on boards. If you have left over board, the floor can be taken apart and reassembled. Or if you can find your laminate at a store buy one box to fix it. Or call the company that made the laminate and get it that way.
I would try and replace those pieces or buy the protective mats that go under the chair. This will hide the damage and prevent further damage.
Here is a tutorial to help you. You can also buy they already make in many colours. This would be the cheaper option if you do not want matching fabric. https://youtu.be/2ghjZfFP6JI

Hi Cindy. I'm Cindy too. Sorry to hear about your flooring. Since it is only a year old, try calling the manufacturer. They might have advice for you. Or, at least, send another box for repair job. Good luck Cindy. Best from (you guessed it), Cindy.
You could try painting it but going forward one of those plastic floor protectors for chairs will help to prevent it from getting worse
I don't know any way to restore that.
I'd get a stain pen - like a paint pen - and color over it
If rejuvenate doesn’t work you could try staining with a scratch cover pen.
