I would like geo., thermo/radiant heated floors. Can you put down any floors on top of bamboo, cork or hard wood? Thank=You, Susie.
I have a concrete floor, with NOTHING on top, NO OTHER FLOORING! I want to know, after I install geo.,/thermal or radiant heat, if I can THEN install hardwood, cork, or bamboo on top for the flooring. That's my question. , Susie.

  • If you want heated floors, go with tile. Any existing flooring that you do not care for, remove before installing a new floor of your choice. Not a good idea to place flooring on top of flooring, creates awkward transitions and tripping hazards. My installers will not install flooring if not safe or to code. They will refuse the job.

There is no existing floor except the concrete base floor. I need something on top of it. I do not want tile or any more HARD surfaces! Thank-You anyway. I wanted to know if one can put hardwood, or cork flooring on top of the geo., thermo/ radiant heated floor. As I have basic concrete, it is a good base for a heated floor. That is my question, Susie.

A manufacture of that type of flooring would be able to answer that question the best...if you can't find it online.
