A metal trellis would give it the most support. Since it's not native to your climate, here's a link with some growing tips for you:

Since they are climbers and you are in zone 6a, it would be best to keep it in a container to be brought indoors to overwinter, this will prevent damage to the root system.

Unless you want to wheel this in and outside every year just grow it indoors. I thought I would move my jasmine in and out every year but I didn't think about how much it would weigh. Moved it once. Too heavy.

Hi Ellen, I would go for a metal trellis and preferably one that's stable since you'll have to move it inside. A box or pyramid shape would work really well and you'll need to add wheels on the planter to save your back.
here is info for you - this is a tropical plant so the winters in your area would kill the plant so bring it inside

My research shows that it is designed for climbing on trellises. I'm surprised you have it in 6a since it's a heat and drought tolerant plant. I'm not sure how well it will do in the winter. They cannot withstand temperatures below freezing, they need to be brought in if you have severe temperatures.. They also need full sun and shelter from the wind. The soil is best when sandy (50/50 sand & soil).
