Tips for Growing African Violets

African violets are one of the few indoor plants that will continue flowering all year long when they get the right conditions.
This plant can be a bit finicky about its care though. Humidity, watering, sunlight and other factors have to be just right to get the best results.
I've grown these plants since I first got involved in gardening, years ago and have posted some of my tips for growing them on my blog.
I love all the flower colors and shapes, especially the ruffled varieties!
Even the buds of an African violet are pretty!
If you have good light in your bathroom, placing the plant here will help with its humidity needs. See trips for growing African violets on my blog.

You did not tell me how to grow them! I have two plants left from my Mother's collection, and both seem to be dying. Help! Transplanting? (Soil seems almost gone.) both are years old and have gathered dust, etc. How do I clean them? DO I clean them?
