DIY Kitchen Table Turned Into a Desk

I had been looking for a new desk for my craft/guest combo room..

and just couldn't find one that was affordable and made from real wood.

I use to actually use a small kitchen table in my craft room but I had changed that out.

Well, I decided I didn't have much to lose by cutting it down to see if I could make it work in this space again..

after all it was just sitting in the garage taking up space there.

So I decided on the width I wanted it to be to fit the small space I had available to place a desk. I chose to go with 19" deep, and I marked it all off and got started using my circular saw.

Of course I had to work on the hardware and change the bottom so I could put it all back together and re attach the legs.

That was actually much easier than I figured it would be.

Yay!

After it was all back together I got to work sanding it all down.

Then I chose to paint it a pretty shade of navy blue.

It is the perfect size for the space, and I love how much room it has to offer when I am working on a project.

Since I had everything on hand this project was a no cost project, and I got a solid wood and practical desk that functions perfectly where I need it. Gotta love those kind of projects!
