Cover it with temporary wallpaper,or a curtain.
can you find a nice piece of fabric that either coordinates with your furniture or is textured (I'm thinking cream/white damask) that you can cover over the mural...I would use clear push pins along the top and sides to keep it taut. If you go with texture rather than print, you could hang your pictures etc in the space
I would install brackets, get a length of pipe or pvc and make a curtain from drop cloths or king size sheets.
Most home centers now carry peel and stick removable wallpaper. Buy a pattern you like and cover it up, then remove it when you leave.
Yup, peal and stick wallpaper or your own mural. An old trick is to cover the wall with a sheet in the pattern or color of your choice using starch. It sticks well and peals right off when you no longer want it there.
I would hang a tapestry over it. There are many beautiful ones to be had.
I like the fabric idea. It definitely would be easy to remove, is inexpensive and could possible use a sound barrier or muffler. It also adds pattern and texture and allows the possibility of hanging pictures over it.
Mount a curtain rod across the entire wall and hang curtain panels, use one color or mix up with color pattern.
Depending on how tall your walls are, you could fill the wall with book shelf units. That would hide most of it.
Tapestry....big enough to cover the mural..
