Tv Cabinet Turned Dress Up Closet
I found this old TV cabinet for $35 on Facebook marketplace and added a few little touches to make it a fun dress up closet for my five year old!
This is the furniture piece I bought. I had the intentions of painting it but ultimately decided white matched my daughter’s bedroom furniture.
The first thing I wanted to do was to remove these green cabinet pulls. They are beautiful but I wanted some thing a little bit more modern, long, and skinny.
Using a dowel rod and copper couplings, I decided to make my own.
You can see how I’ll screw in from the back of the cabinet to make my own door handles.
I also bought a small arched mirror at Hobby Lobby that I spray painted gold.
This is another large dowel/closet rod that I spray painted to add to the inside for hanging dress up clothes.
I added a few more knobs for decorating purposes.
I put feet on my cabinet to give it a little more elegance and height!
Lastly some LED lights made it really fun and glamorous for a little girl!
This was such a simple and easy project that turned out cute! I love using thrifted furniture for new purposes!

Absolutely great job; was there a back on it with the holes for wires or did you remove it entirely? Hope your little girl enjoys it for a very long time. so creative.
Very nice but I loved the handles that were on it. Are they glass? Will you do something with them? Maybe a tray or something? They are very cool.
You did a great job though, I just love the first handles, and in no way criticizing you for your choice I just want to make that clear because I hate when others do that, so I loved the finish project but also love the old handles 😁.
