Take a look at how I made my own ottoman!
I needed an ottoman STAT so I opted to make one on my own that was versatile enough for any room. I included the following items: 1 yard fabric, 2 inch foam, plywood, batting, pin legs, staples, and screws. Here we go!
Getting started! Here‘s the plywood and measuring my hairpin legs on it.
I used plywood and very thick foam set to fit. Next, I layered batting down and stapled it tight, making sure to pull it tight! Over that, I laid down the fabric and pulled it super tight and stapled. Then, I trimmed the extras.
Next up, I screwed in the hair pin legs. Getting there...
And flipped it over and viola!
It is finished! And looking great! Easy enough, so give it a try yourself :)
A cheap, easy, and customized ottoman for my own personal coziness! Win! Win! Win! Whaddya think?

Great looking, Easy, and Inexpensive idea. One extra step would make it look more professional. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6dvRIwdnCU It is essentially like a non woven heavy innerfacing. I think you could use other fabric but it will look better and has other advantages as the video said.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Looks great and does the job. Can you imagine what you'd pay for it retail?
Did the pin legs say how much weight it would support? Could you use it for extra seating? I must say I don't see a large amount of pin legs. Are they trending now? What era or year would you you mix with them? Thanks!
