Old Moldy Luggage Turned B.E.A.U.ti.Ful French~Inspired Coffee Table

M&M Embellishments

I took a vintage steamer trunk and turned it into a beautiful coffee table! This was one of my longer projects, but was also one of the more enjoyable! Except for the interior! haha
This was after one coat of chalk paint.
I knew I want to go with French designs, and this was what I started with.
Then it was a matter of finding what images went with the main design.
I painted all of my designs on using stain.
Then for the interior... ugh. I forgot to take the before until i was part way done.
I added a burlap material (not burlap, but a fabric) to the top and used this beautiful piece of french typography on the bottom and most sides.
Finished it off with trim and a belt to hold the top open
Added the beautiful Queen Anne legs. These I painted with acrylic, dry brushed with chalk paint, and then rubbed different stains to get the right color.

I used stain to do the distressing and coated with Annie Sloan Soft Wax for the final layer.
I also added a cute little luggage tag :)
