I was tired of this boring looking brown coffee table but didn't want to give up all the storage it provides so I decided to give it a little facelift with some Rustoleum Chalk Paint. I couldn't decide whether to go with a bright white finish or my favorite charcoal gray finish. So I decided to blend the two of them together.
When I opened the paint I decided that the charcoal color was a little too dark for this piece so I kept adding white until I got a beautiful silver gray tone that was perfect. I then put Rustoleum Linen White chalk paint on a separate plate and began by dipping my brush in the gray and then in the white.
With a little gray and a little white on the paintbrush I began to paint. If it looked to gray in one area I would add more white and if it looked to white I would add more gray until I got the look I wanted.
All it took was one coat for complete coverage.
I love the way it came out!
