Wipes container turned plastic bag storage

I had this tall, plastic container from some wet wipes that I had saved in hopes of being inspired to create something useful . Upcycle it.

While I was cleaning out the condo for the renters , I decided this would make a great storage for plastic bags. More importantly, we were going to be in our camper for nearly a month and this would be a great slimline way to corral my bags.

Digging through my scrapbook papers I found a very pretty , nautical inspired page to cover the face of the plastic container

Hot glue was the quickest way to cover the container with the pretty nautical paper.

I t was really so easy to measure and cut the paper to size and glue. Just roll the container along the edge on one side and mark the paper with a pencil on the other side. Cut it to size.

Add a little embellishment like this piece of jute.

 And a seashell, of course.

Oh and I forgot to tell you that I cut the mermaid from the paper and aged around the edges with Ranger's Distress Ink using a piece of household kitchen sponge. I glued her on carefully with Mod Podge. I did not want the glue to ruin the paper or leave a smudged mark. She's a CoastalBohemian.

This was a simple little something that I needed. It works for the camper and has a little more character than just a plain old plastic recycled container.

It's slimline so I can tuck it pretty much anywhere in the camper and it fits.
