How do I fill this ?

My beloved Habitat spesh, that I’ve had for 20 odd years but never put up ‼️ I actually have five ‼️ Have to go outside in the courtyard as nowhere suitable in my new ickle Thatched Cottage. I’m thinking candles, either fake or real ?, or plants but it can’t be anything too heavy. Would love trailing ones. Any ideas ?

Could you add a photo to your post? I'm having difficulty picturing your situation.

Please re-post your question with a picture, I am having trouble visualizing what you are asking about.

  • I don't know what a Habitat spesh is...is it a tree? Tell us a little more and I'm sure we will be able to help.

    • Thank you for explaining. Now that I have that bit of knowledge and a photo...I'd add a trailing plant like English Ivy.

Campanula, Trailing - Lobelia, Ivy, Geranium, Oh so many would do. Best to go to local Plant outlet - Nursery - Large DIY store and see what they have, and ask for advice too.

Thanx John but I’ve just realised that plants will be out of the question re compost / drainage unless I go faux of course but I’ve never found any that look ‘real’ to me. Guess I’ll have to go on a mega hunt for some !!

I don't understand the question because I don't know what a "speesh or ickle" might be but am very interested to learn more. Thanks

I cannot help you without a photo as I do not know what a Habitat Spesh is. It sounds like some kind of vine, but I need a picture sorry.

Hello again, What was the original use meant to be Chair - TV - Decorate Shelf?

Could it be used for a pond or water feature? Not sure I can see it in a Thatch Cottage environment. The might just make you money if you sold them through an Auction House then buy something more in keeping for your homes style!

Hey John. None of the above lol.

They’re hanging pots. I’m hoping to hang them in a cluster at all different levels. It’ll be candles or faux plants I think.

After studying a bit and looking at other questions & replies, you might try a high end faux plants. I found some very realistic greenery at the Dollar Tree, it's ivy. You might also consider fairy lights. Not sure exactly how that would work unless you get the kind with a remote. Whatever you end up with, please update the post. Seems I was not alone at being clueless. Goes to show how everyone is very engrained with their region. By the way, your cottage looks like something straight out of a fairy tale. Lovely.

I’m thinking it’ll have to be faux too and thank you so much for your comment re my property, many say it’s a chocolate box cover 😀

No picture I can’t understand your question.

  • It’s super cool! Anything trailing out of it would be neat or set some plants inside. Set some battery powered lights in there to glow it up or string lights trailing out.

Thank you Becky, think I’m going down the road of faux trailing plants and lights after all !!
