Looking for a creative Mother's Day Gift? This DIY Lighted Indoor Herb Garden will brighten any room. Make this with a tray or box and LED mini lights. These LED mini lights are made with copper wire that wraps easily around these dowel posts and holds their shape without sagging. Add a fairy garden or bird houses to finish. I added bird houses painted by my kids to add a personal touch. You can make this for your wife or mom and decorate with your kids art too.

What you’ll need:
  • 1 tray large enough for your plants and decorative itemsicon
  • 2 or 3 birdhouses
  • 1 set of wire LED mini lights (aff - between 7 and 12 feet is best for this project)
  • Herbs or other small indoor plants
  • Heavy Duty garbage bag or other thick plastic sheet
  • 1 dowel cut into 4 – 8″ sections
  • 4 eye hooks
  • rocks to line bottom of tray
  • potting soil
  • mulch
decorative items (rocks, wood discs, etc.)
