A havahart cage always works for us. We had to catch three groundhogs this way. We catch them overnight and my husband releases them somewhere along his route to work.
Okay, a lot of people will say this doesn’t work, but it worked for me. I used mint/spearmint gum and put it down in the tunnels. They just went into the neighbors yards, but they left my yard. *giggle*
Hi Dar,
For Moles I keep a small box of instant mashed potatoes on hand and sprinkle a few spoonfuls where i think they travel. I do this at night since most are nocturnal. After they eat, the flakes expand in the stomach and well they die.
NOTE: If you have pets keep these flakes out of their reach.
For Gophers - If you have pet snakes keep the skin when they shed or if you know anyone who has snakes or live close to a serpentarium, ask for shed skin and place a good long piece in each in hole. They won't be back. Tried and true!
