Give your kitchen an update with Dixie Belle Paint and the Patina Collection! You can paint bathroom tiles, kitchen tiles, floors, backsplash, laminate, ceramic, you name it...Dixie Belle Paint will stick to it!
Let jump right in and go over how to paint tiles with Dixie Belle Paint!
You can PATINA tiles. YES! You can accent a few tiles or if you are bold enough you could patina all of your tiles for that rusty weathered look!
Prepare your tiles by cleaning with White Lightning. This will remove dust, dirt and build up. If you want to patina your tiles you will need to apply a coat of Dixie Belle Paint first. Then apply a layer of Dixie Belle Patina Paint.
Dixie Belle Patina Paint comes in Copper, Bronze and Iron.
After your first coat of Patina Paint has tried you will want to go in with another coat. While it is STILL WET apply the Patina Spray that activates the reaction.
Depending on how you apply the paint and the spray you will get a different look.
When you apply the paint you may want to swish the brush around to crest peaks for the spray to fall into. If you brush it on even you can expect the patina to be more even.
For this particular look you can gently tap a paper towel on top and then spray lightly again so that the spray falls into the imprint of the paper towel.
You can even STAIN your tiles! Maybe you love the look but you want to emphasize the details.
Easily achievable with No Pain Gel Stain! This is the color Espresso. Simply cover the tile in stain, wait a few seconds and then wipe away the stain.
This is the color Walnut. You do the same procedure for each color and if you want to get a richer final look you can apply twice.
Here we use Georgian Cherry in a couple spots, wiped away and applied Sapphire Pearl Glaze.
Georgian Cherry is another No Pain Gel Stain color. This leaves a lovely sweet cherry red shade on your tiles! You can even paint your tiles in any Dixie Belle Paint Color! Make sure to seal with Gator Hide when you are done.
