How do I paint my kitchen/bathroom cabinets without sanding them?
My wife wants to change the color of our cherry veneer cabinets to white. I know (from this website) there are ways to prep them for the primer & paint without having to sand them. Any advice/links are appreciated.

First, clean them really well - use a good degreaser. Next you will need to use primer, especially since they are cherry. Here's a link that you will find helpful:

You have to use a primer first otherwise the paint will not stick

You can use chalk paint! Dixie Belle is a great paint and self levels very well, so less brush strokes. Also requires no sanding.
You can use chalk paint. Be sure to CLEAN a the cabinets with a cleaner like Krud Kutter tsp, don’t skip that prep step!
I wouldn't go with chalk paint. You still have to seal the chalk paint, and I would not recommend not sanding either. Sanding should not take long at all. 1-2 minutes of scuff sanding each door will make a huge difference in the paint sticking to the door.
Chalk paint has to be sealed, so you can seal it with water-based poly, but wax is not a good option for cabinets.
Personally, sherwin williams emerald urethane or benjamin moore advance is a better option. You will still need to prime with a good bonding primer, but the enamel paint dries hard.
You could also use fusion mineral paint.
