Painting Grout With Chalk Paint
Do you have dingy grout that needs a quick, effective and cost effective way to clean it up?
Try chalk paint!
I used Good Bones Paint in Gris. This is a great paint brand to use on furniture, decor and grout! It has a built in sealer so it’s a good choice. To order click the link I have posted and choose the Good Bones Paint tab. Use code “PICKS” to save!
Here’s the before. We use this bar every day and I didn’t feel like driving out of town to buy an expensive sealer. I have plenty of chalk paint around and decided to give this a quick update.
After you have cleaned your grout from any dirt or grime it’s time to paint! I suggest working is small sections. Just follow the grout with the paint and gently wipe away excess with a paper towel.
An Artist brush will help you control where the paint goes.
I used a damp paper towel after using a dry one to clean the tile up better. Some touch ups will have to be made depending on the consistency of your grout. Just repeat the the steps until you’re happy!
A damp paper towel works best. I always have a dry one close by as well.
Here’s the after! I did not use any additional sealer. About a month of use and it still looks good as new! It’s a quick refresh with paint you have around your house! So this update didn’t cost me anything, I just used leftovers! Follow me on social media to see what I’m up to next!
