If you can remove the part that holds the poles and replace it with another utilities holder, it could store tall things in the garage.

My first thought is that it would be great for storing wrapping paper etc. With some thing changed inside of it all of your wrapping needs might be able to fit in there nicely.

This would make a nice utility closet for the laundry room. Add shelves for clothespins, fabric softener, lone socks, a hook for Swiffer and shelf for pads. vacuum cleaner accessories, whisk broom.

Or... mud room closet, kitchen pantry / small appliance storage, bulk food, umbrella storage...

Refinish the outside to suit your mood or decor with paint, stencil art, a mural, decoupage.

If it fits your bedroom closet, seasonal accessories, athletic clothing (sports bras, etc.)

I think cabinets like this are nice in small rooms that need storage. With small shelves inserted (you could use L brackets for support) it could hold toilet paper rolls in s bathroom. You wouldn't need that many shelves since you can stack the rolls. Good luck and stay safe!

  • I would be tempted to remove the door or replace it with glass or chicken wire or shirred fabric on a frame. It could be a very charming piece.

You could use if for storage in your garage or in a small space. I used a locker for storage in my laundry room and it was the perfect size because I needed something tall and narrow.

I’m thinking it would be very cool to use an often forgotten space...

attach it horizontally above a door for an out of the way storage space. Leave the door on to keep hidden the contents or remove for display space.

Mounted a foot below ceiling height somewhere, and now you have a shelf as well!

Perfect size to store paperback books, CD’s, your cookie stash.

I thought of a wrapping paper centre as well.

Closing the door to the cabinet will keep the contents dry, clean, and out of the light that can fade colors. And yet, contents items inside are easily accessible at any time.

On the inside of the cabinet, put a top shelf. On the bottom put a plastic bin and inside the bin put rolls of wrapping paper upright.

If the rolls do not reach to the bottom of the shelf, either put another shelf, or screw in cup hooks on the walls to loop net bags on to. Store gift bags, shorter rolls, or other related supplies in the net bags.

A source of inexpensive net bags (either zip, or draw string) are the laundry mesh bags sold at the dollar stores.

Might the unit fit in between the studs in a wall? I was thinking that as it was built already, it could be inserted into the walls to make a recessed storage space.

What a great find in your grandmas garage and it's such a cute size! Can you add shelves inside and use it for storage in a small space in your house? If the wood is looking worn, you could either sand it and use some Hemp Oil to renourish it or paint it. Love it!
