Poster Board Cornice!

I have seen all the posts that are DIY cornice boards so I thought... "I'm going for it" !
So I went to Hobby Lobby (my second home) and purchased the poster board on sale, and some fabric (I already had Garilla Tape and batting)

Measured my window and cut the board to size with a razor blade and a straight edge (for a perfect straight line)
Here it is taped up and ready to "wrap". Make sure you tape vertically, horizontally, corners and use a lot of the tape! Just when you think it's enough...add more!
I attached the batting with a staple gun.
Then stapled my fabric.
I added nailheads to all sides, which pushed in SUPER easily because of it being poster board!
Here it is! Super easy, inexpensive and turned out perfect!

LOVE IT!

love the idea of using the poster board, but you didn't say how you hung it on the window? Your cornice is beautiful and thank you for sharing!

I think you are using tag board not poster board. Tag board is thicker with more thickness and support. Poster board is a very thin cardboard that has little support which would not hold the fabric weight. This is to help those who want to create this project.
