Use a Dollar Tree candle and candle holder to make a special gift for your Valentine. It won't cost much and your love will know that you thought of them.

Next time you're at the Dollar Tree pick up a pillar candle, a candle holder, and a heart muffin mold.

The Dollar Tree usually has silicone molds for every season. I like this heart-shaped muffin mold that they have available this time of year.

They also have pillar candles in several festive shades throughout the year. Candle stands are always available on the candle aisle.

Put your pillar candle in a pot of water until the wax is melted then pour it into the mold. Add a wick and when the wax is set, trim the wick to about one-half inch.

Display your candle on a stand with a vignette of coordinating items on your tabletop, kitchen counter, or a tiered tray. This project can be adapted for any holiday or season and it's much cheaper than buying designer candles. Don't forget that you can also add essential oils to fragrance your candles with your favorite scent.
