I made an easy and inexpensive candle holder. I really loved the last version. You can also make changes according to your own style.

I used cd but you can also use cardboard.

I leave a candle sized space in the middle of the cd that I use.

I apply glue to the curved part of the pistachio shells. I used a hot glue gun. But you can use any fast drying glue.

Glue the curved part of the shell to the CD. Glue 1 row of shells around the center. Then make the 2nd row by sticking 1 shell between each 2 shells.

Paste the shells on the whole cd using the same method. It looks great this way. If you want, you can apply spray varnish on it and use it as it is.

I painted. You can also use spray paint or acrylic paint. I used spray varnish. And I waited for it to dry.

This is what it will look like when it dries. You can also use it like this. But let's embellish a little more.

I used finger gilding. You can also use metallic acrylic paint. Gold and black look very harmonious.

I rubbed the paint on the ends of the shells with my finger. You can also use a brush.

Wait a bit for it to dry. You can use varnish if you want. I didn't use it.

And ready. We made an easy, inexpensive and wonderful decor from cd and pistachio shells.

If you want, you can use other colors instead of black. You can make wonderful colorful candle holders.

If you want to see how I did it in more detail, you can also watch my youtube video. The video starts from the time I made this decor.

I noticed you started from the inside and worked out. Can you do it the other way and start from the outside and work in? Does it matter, I wonder? Very clever! Great job?

Thank you. Better to do it from the inside out. It is necessary to leave free space for the candle in the middle. Starting from that area is necessary for the correct measurement. You can do it from the outside to the inside, but it may be a little difficult to have a proper image.
