Kitchen: Work in Progress
A kitchen redo is a massive undertaking. And expensive. We are doing ours in stages as I’m a bit of a procrastinator when working on projects. My enthusiasm has spiked and lulls.
Biggest issue was the tile backsplash. Removal made a horrible mess. Not ready to do new counters so decided to camouflage the damage with wall liner and then faux brick wallpaper. Surprisingly it turned out not bad. Will need to Sheetrock before we get new counters but the brick is starting to grow on me.

As I have said our rooms are small. We are a four split so each level is only about 500 square feet. The house was built in 1991 and although well cared for by the original owner, we knew it needed updating when we bought it a couple of years ago. As everyone can attest it’s expensive to renovate and so we all try to choose wisely to avoid costly errors in designs we end up disliking. So it’s a work in Progress. I seem to always have a project started before the last one is completed.

How does the wallpaper stand up to water, grease splashes, etc.? After wiping down several times, doesn't the pattern start to fade? Or did you go over the wallpaper with some sort of sealant? I think it looks really lovely. Thank You.
