Personal Accessory Organizer

I had a couple of extra pieces of pegboard lying around and was determined to use it for something...here is what I came up with! The best part was I did two different boards and it cost me less than $10!
After you have your pegboard, decide the size you want it to be based on where you want to hang it and how many goodies you have to hang on it!
When you're painting your pegboard, you can get as creative as you want. On my daughter's organizer...I added stripes.
Once you have your background done, you get to decorate your board. I used stuff I had on hand already but you can do whatever kind of decor you want on it to match the space where you are going to hang it.
On this board, I added ribbon border with little mirrored jewels glued onto it. Then I added adhesive letters for the message.
My organizer is decorated with ribbon trim and some cute little flowers that I glued onto the ribbon.
I had holders so that I could add baskets to each board for items that are tough to hang. The good news is, there are all types of hooks and holders for pegboards in your home improvement store so you can totally customize your organizer.
Be sure you have the right kind of hangers with spacers to hang your board up with the required space behind it to be able to get your hooks and holders in it. Not counting paint drying time, the time to do this project was less than two hours and was a lot of fun! Get as creative as you want and enjoy the organization you get from having all your pretty things in one place! Because I had used stuff I had on hand, the only cost for these organizers was a big package of assorted hooks, holders, and fasteners for around $10. These boards are both about 3' x 3' in size and hold lots of things Even if you have to purchase a piece of pegboard, some fasteners and decorating items, your cost will be less than $20 so it's certainly affordable.
